Media freezes computer after I used headset as microphone. How do I fix this?
I recently learned that headsets can be used as microphones, but after I tested this, my computer freezes whenever Youtube videos or Media Player plays.
It has a VIA Audio Chipset.

I would suggest checking that you have the latest patches for your operating system as well as the latest drivers for your headset, sound card and video card. If that is the case, then I would recommend uninstalling any specialized software that my have been included with the headset including removing and deleting the drivers, rebooting, and allowing native drivers to be installed for the headset. If this works, I would keep watch on the headset manufacturer's website for a new driver release.
