Do liberals really trust the billionaires that are "on their side"?

Question

I don't think it would surprise anyone to learn that the conservative causes supported by the Koch brothers very often benefit them as capitalists. The self interest already obvious, it's hard to find ulterior motives.

The billionaires on the left, however, give millions and millions away solely to promote the greater good, or so they would have you believe. Tom Steyer wants to drop $50 million of his own cash to elect climate conscious candidates to, primarily, kill the XL pipeline. But it turns out Steyer, through his "former" firm, made his $1.4 billion through fossil fuel investments. Oddly, the firm (and Steyer) have a bunch of cash invested in an energy firm (TransMountain) with its own plans to construct an oil pipeline. Weirdly, if XL gets killed, Steyer would have a good chunk of cash invested in the only pipeline out of the oils ands.

So, just curious if liberals distrust the likes of Steyer (or Soros, who makes his $ betting that currencies will lose value).

It would surprise most liberals to learn that the majority of the 1% that they continue to falsely label and rail on and on against, vote mostly for democrats, not republicans. Most of Wall Street executives vote democratic, that's why Obama's cabinet was made up of mostly former Lehman Bros. executives. Liberals are so fukkkking stupid and will believe anything that they read on one of their far left smear sites.

I think it's the same thing that happens with liberal Hollywood.

Hollywood actors/actresses strut around on their high horse while their fellow man struggles.  Do you see these loving liberals parting with their riches to help their fellow man?  Not a whole lot.  But they sure are good at lip service.

Obama has handed out a lot of valuable favors to people like Warren Buffett in exchange for mouthing the liberal line.  Trust has nothing to do with it.

A huge number of billionaires urged the government to increase their taxes and corporate taxes in recent years to support the economy and recovery.
I'm guessing Fox News kinda-sorta forgot to report that.
