Why does the United States have to be involved with Crimea?

Seriously, I've been looking for this everywhere and I really can't begin to comprehend why we have to be involved. It seems that every single conflict in any country automatically includes us. Why in the world do we have to risk so much by protecting Ukraine? It's not like their a large ally of ours, and it's not like they even have much to offer. So can someone please explain why the United States has to be involved in a European affair?

Because the people that run America can't seem to focus on it's own problems and feels the need to interfere in the affairs of other countries.

It doesn't. It should stay away. 
The problem is that those who run America don't run it for its people. It is they who could provoke conflict.

In fact it seems that that is what they've been trying to do.

The whole mainstream western coverage has been nothing but Anti-Russian propaganda.
They have an agreement with the Ukraine to allow up to 25000 Russian troops in the Crimea. That agreement lasts up to 2042.

So for the record Russia has invaded nowhere to date.
