Reality is as we believe it to be. Otherwise at subatomic level its mostly just vacant space..?

It is a fact that diameter of nucleus of an atom (of carbon as an example) is about 1/10,000th of diameter of the atom. But nucleus is also 99.94% of the atom's mass. Very few negligible sized electrons and some atomic bodies are going around the nucleas super fast not occupying even a millionth if the balance space. Meaning, physically any atom and hence the universe is mostly just empty space.

Isn't it worth a thought that WE and ALL around us is almost all vacant space? Our bodies, and people and things around us are all around us are mostly space -well over 99%!!

Yet we place all our realism on all these.

Now, Hindu Vedas suggest that 'the universe and time are creation of a play of consciousness with the mind. An illusion created by complex interplay of imaginations and our involvement with it. World is reactions reflection and resound of our thoughts. But since as elaborately engaged we are it appears the only reality. If we could learn to disengage from this and engage with another (say universal) reality, this may no longer be real.

When we focus on our own selves - our consciousness. We begin to loose focus on things and people around us. As we focus on our true inner selves we loose focus and awareness of our body, thoughts and worries- gradually with practice we begin to enjoy the bliss, love and truth that we truly are.

When we are focused on collective universal consciousness, we loose focus on the individual. The universal consciousness is true blissful and love.'

This is vedic philosophy.

Worth a thought?

There is no 'matter', there is no 'solid'... our reality is completely made up of mind/Consciousness!

"Consciousness is the ground of all being!" - Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics

Any and every 'particle' is, ultimately composed of 'thought/mind-stuff reflected, like a movie, and we are the screen.

"God cannot know himself without me." - Meister Eckhart

"The eye by which I see God is the same as the eye by which God sees me. My eye and God's eye are one and the same." - Meister Eckhart

There is One (unchanging, ALL inclusive) Reality, and We unique Conscious Perspectives 'see/reflect/know' this Reality, from a unique Perspective, every moment of Universal Existence!

We are ALL One Omni- 'Self!'!

All 'duality' ('time' and 'space' and 'life' and 'death'...) exists in/as 'thought/imagination', but... so do we! *__-

    That is what 'thought' does!

    'Thought' = ego! Identity!

    Good post.

Sub atomic levels are not a vacant space. When you allude to Vedic philosophy, one should also believe in existence of God and in his omnipresence. If God is omnipresent, there cannot be a vacant space. Just as atmosphere is not devoid of air but invisible, the vacant space is not devoid of Ether or Ishwar and is invisible to eyes as well as comprehension of material mind. The best description of such space is by definition Sat Chit Ananda ( Existence, Consciousness, Bliss) or the all pervading ParaBrahma or the Undifferentiated Brahman as one may like to believe. Belief is an end and perimeters of human mind concluding in illusionary finiteness within the in-finiteness upto the extent the perimeters permit. Therefore Belief can be perfection and finite in its universal macrocosmic sense only when the belief conjoins with existence consciousness bliss and realize its reality I AM THAT.

"Reality is as we believe it to be."- bravo my friend.

Reality is created by thought. Our subconscious minds takes our conscious thoughts coupled with the emotion we attach to them and causes us not only to do things that create a reality congruent with them, but to also cause us to verify that reality by bringing to our attention examples that are congruent with them as well. In fact, the universe itself is mental also so our subconscious mind can communicate directly with the collective conscious to help create this reality. So if you think most people are kind and considerate, not only will you subconsciously do things to draw kind and considerate people into your life, those people will be drawn to you. In addition, you will witness more examples of these types of people than their opposite and quickly dismiss the acts of those not in line with your conscious thoughts.

I love people and when I make small talk with them, I often think to myself that their reality is very interesting. My reality has shifted so greatly over the years that I find it hard to remember what it was like when I shared so much of the reality of the masses. The question has been brought up to me numerous times when it's cold out in the area I live (St. Louis), how it is that I can handle the weather being that I'm from Texas. My response is that I look at it as free air conditioning. People usually laugh at that so I've learned to say it with a smirk as if I'm kidding around. The truth is that I really do look at it that way. It has become my reality, not because I made a decision to always look at the bright side. It's become my reality because of training my thinking to be in alignment with my desired reality. The byproduct of that is that it causes my focus to be on the bright side.

Most people are observational in their way of thinking. This means that the circumstances they observe, dictate their way of thinking and feeling. So if it's cold and they don't like the cold, they become unhappy. They have determined most of their likes and dislikes throughout their lifetime and have varying degrees of emotion they have attached to each circumstance. If circumstances are as they like, they are happy. If circumstances are not as they like, they become unhappy. To what degree most people can control their circumstances then, often determines their happiness. This is why most people look for answers outside themselves. They are thinking that they don't know how to change their circumstances but someone else might.

All answers are found within however, and using your conscious thinking to change your circumstances is very difficult. This is why when one sets out to think more positively, say looking at cold weather as being free air conditioning, one generally fails. Your subconscious mind quickly dismisses your positive thinking because it knows you don't really feel that way. If you did, you would have an emotion attached to it that is congruent with your past likes/dislikes. Those likes/dislikes have formed neural pathways that have formed a neural net that makes up your personality.

The way you consciously create reality then is to become visionary with your thinking instead of reactionary. You must first take a look at a reality in which you wish to create and then feed it to your subconscious mind so that it can go to work for you to create the circumstances congruent with it. What you essentially have to do is form a new neural path. In other words, you have to convince your subconscious that you believe it to be true. This means it has to be somewhat believable to you and the feeling you experience when you feed it to your subconscious has to be congruent with the actual emotion you would experience if it were true. You also have to feed it the thought on a daily bases until it becomes your reality. So if you wanted to shift how you feel about the weather and do it by affirmation you might say, "I feel like I am almost always comfortable." This is very open-ended and easily believable. If it's freezing outside, it doesn't matter cause you’re in a nice warm house, car or building most of the time so you truly are comfortable temperature-wise.

I didn't do this specifically to feel that way though. I used all kinds of different affirmations but probably ones like, "I feel like my thinking both observationally and intentionally are directly in line with my desired reality and that makes me feel wonderful" make me view the weather as very inconsequential and actually, just saying that affirmation makes me feel wonderful.

    Living life loving.
