On the new Answers, why are we no longer allowed to thumb a question once we have answered it?

Questions have never had thumbs, at least not since I've been on the site. And I haven't seen thumbing of answers disabled after answering either. If that's your issue, try clearing cache & cookies or try another browser.

The spell checker was full of bugs and a constant source of complaints; it probably was in fact too expensive to fix, simpler just to get rid of it, especially since many already have spell-checkers.

You can't TD questions, only answers, you have to wait for the page to fully load, sometimes refresh helps. They now call star follow as well.

The spell checker was more of a nuisance than anything, it said things like you misspelled 25 words, my answer was only 20 words o_O

My browser has a spell check in it, Firefox and Chrome both do. I have not used IE in so long, I forget what it looks like, but I would think they would have one, or a plug in for it

I assume you mean answers. Just press F5 to refresh the page and the thumbs will work again. Does the same for reporting.

umm we havent been able to thumb a question since like 2008 - because Y!A decided it wasnt nice to be negative of a question I guess.
