Is internet not a collective 'thought cloud' for humans on the planet?
Human intelligence is no longer just individual as it was before. We are connected by a combined learning mind. A though, a feeling, a concept, a philosophy and an idea. Rapidly spreads.
Internet represent the thought cloud of (most) humans on the planet. It unites us in faster growth from combined thinking and intelligence. It also represents our common values and reactions to acts and developments.
The disparities or differences on the net show contradictions in our own social beliefs; and contradictions between what we believe is right from how we act. These are a part of a mind of this huge a scale.
It is also imperfect since it does not reach all equally and many certain category of people do not have access to it or not sufficient. But as it grows its reach, we shall reach another stage of evolution.
Do you agree?

We have always been connected with everyone and everything in the universe. Just unconsciously. Now with the advent of the internet we are seeing a manifestation of this in the conscious world.
I agree that the more communication among people the more the playing field levels for everyone. And in some respects, the more safe the world community becomes.

Yes, I agree, but, since "if two people agree, then one of them is unnecessary", I shall posit my hostel reservations and harmonize with you through the rancor of disputation , putting you down , my friend, so to make vibrant the truth that despite this amazement of human correspondence, the individual who hath sit upon his/her haunches and defies the happy concommitance of submittal to overwhelming social sensibility and who questionlessly pursues interdependence without considering inter-independence first, may indeed save the herd from stampeding the wrong way on the interstate...or off a cliff. No offence, no offense. sometimes it is best to not use your better judgement. To refute does not require one to be at odds, but in all health's sake , to begin evinced even....yeah, even Steven.
A thought cloud? OK. When it condenses thought and it rains on Binary City, in the Fogotten Isles, will this mean they won't be lost no more, those there? Or will it taint their cultural identity so that instead of eating bucket-crickets they tear open a Milky Way while watching them film a TV show about building a tourist trap...eze. Somehow I feel the water and oil be kept separate, but rather than say this thought that would be up in the air comes rolling around as acid fog I proclaim it is the working up of a treatise of peaceful relation across the planet that will not perish from the being human on Earth. I won't concede ,but I do

Yes if you look at this whole world from the outside.
Should an alien character try to understand us the internet gives out our whole mentality upon the level that we have reached at this present stage. Our thoughts (cloud) are certainly represented out on the internet upon which we interact with each others. So this 'common denominator' gives out a 'ratio of the relationship' that we all have with each other that represents the level of thoughts that we all enjoy when we 'AIR' our views.

I personally am tired of the internet and tired of cell phones. I find the internet full of more useless information than valuable information. It's just one more manipulation tool used to use people (IMO)
It does more harm than good. It always seems to pose some form of frustration for the user. From spam to bullies to trolls to loss of real life work and contact in one's own community. Tracking you from place to place etc.
Is that the happiness people seek? I just can't see it.
If it's collective thought it is most likely going to result in an evolution of madness.

I disagree. The disadvantages far outweigh the advantages. Many people have very short attention spans due to addiction.Temper tantrums.mental illness, depression and paranoia often prevalent.
.It can create a false sense of wellbeing. An imaginary existence.
I suppose in it's defence it can help people to communicate who otherwise are unable. That's with moderation. It can help to spread world news global quickly.
As far as unites goes. Not really. In fact the opposite. It causes isolation and mass division.
All the best.

Yes and No.
Originally, internet was designed to exchange ideas among people and academic. However, hackers have turned it to a tool for crime and businesses have turned it into a gold mining tool.
Luke 6
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom; for with what measure ye mete, with the same shall men mete to you again.

No it's not.. it's just a database of compiled information.. like a library..
Humans don't use internet information collectively.. they pick and choose what they need..
besides, people interpret information differently..
collective thought clouds are for robots...

Your intelligence is yours but it does have a wondrous or even weird life of its own. Your intelligence wants to grow, to expand, to influence other intelligences about it, to combine with other instances of intelligence about it. Your intelligence is seeking to expand in the material and ethereal spaces about it and beyond.
Your intelligence is seeking to scan the landscapes near and far and also to find the material and spiritual landscapes of yonder.
Within the internet, within the wider bounds of this cyberspace, the individual intelligence wants to understand, to impress, to combine.
As you were contrived designed and created by ferocious mother nature or by your own loving God so that you should go in this world with your brain between your legs and with deadly weapons in your arms, the internet is an invention that can help you to transcend the original scope of your creation, to try and escape your original doom.
The internet is a medium that can be used to promote and to corroborate the expand of your intelligent search, the internet is a medium that can be used peacefully, without deadly weapons in your hands, to combine the individual existences with each other, to try and harmonize the cultural differences through the use of words and pictures through communicating them in the ethereal spaces of this dangerous sun-kissed or sun-scorched or gloomy wind-swept and at times even deadly stormy world.
I am not joking! Ah! ah! ah! ah! ... ah! Good luck with your intelligent adventures with the internet !
