Is anyone else gonna watch Bill Nye debate at the creation museum?

I'll probably watch it, if I remember, but I think it's a really bad idea for mostly the same reasons that a lot of other people on Bill's side think it's a bad idea. Bill isn't a debater and so his going against someone who essentially does this for a living is going to make him look bad, no matter what. I predict that Hamm will do the typical apologetic thing and spew about 3 to 20 arguments/points in his opening statement, each of which would take probably and hour to deconstruct and give an adequate and scientifically accurate rebuttal to. That along with the fact that prominent figures in the scientific community debating issues that a three year old can see are flawed at the core gives those issues FAR too much credence.

That and the fact that the tickets for this are probably going to fund the abomination that is the Creation "Museum" and giving any money to that place is a travesty.

Here's how it will most likely go: They will attempt to make Bill Nye look like the bad guy, and it will end up with the creationist on top. Unfortunately true in most cases, because the creationists appeal to emotions and outnumber atheists. It's unbalanced.

i predict a major loss for bill nye, because he has been going down hill for years now. He really fell a ways from his position as bill nye the science guy. He should have stuck with science, it will be a bad night for him, and i think he's a bit afraid.

We will be watching it. but it will change nothing. Both groups will retire to do as they do to win over the hearts of Gods children, One for the good and one for the evil.
