is 100mbps internest speed is the IPV6?

Question

okay my internet speed is over 100mbps cable from telstra. i was told this is IPV6 i enabled in wow ipv6. do i have ipv6?? in World of Warcraft it says don't enable ipv6 if you don't have it it's teh next generation internet if you enable it and you don't have it you will be band for ever. i am afriad to enable it i have the option though.

if you don't know how to check if i have ipv6?? i went to my network and right click  on eather net and went to properties and there was boxes checked and there was some boes says IPV6 was checked does taht mean i have it or no? if you are not sure tell me how to find out please thanks :)

Go to: http://www.whatsmyip.org/

If the number on top is in the form: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (an xxx group could also be xx or just x) you're using IPv4;
If it's in the form: xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx you're using IPv6.

IPv6 has nothing to do with "Internet" or download speed.

IPv6 is simply a new IP addressing system with a LOT more possible addresses than the system (IPv4) we use now.

You apparently have IPv6 enabled on your computer's LAN adapter but since most of the Internet is still using IPv4, I wouldn't obsess too much about it.

No - IPv6 is a system of assigning numeric values to locations. It has absolutely nothing to do with speed.

Here is an analogy:

IPv6 is like your home address
100mbps is like the Porsche in your driveway
