Xbox one and Xbox 360! Whats the difference?

Simple answer: the One is more powerful than the 360.

The Xbox One is a new generation of gaming console. It has a faster processor (an eight-core version of the AMD Jaguar, opposed to the 3-core IBM POWER processor of the 360), a faster graphics processor (based on the GCN architecture of the Southern Islands series, in contrast to the pre-R600 GPU of the 360), a whopping 8 GBs of memory (the 360 has 512 MB). Also the hard disk is larger and it is equipped with a BluRay drive (with higher capacity). Many Xbox 360 games will play at 1080p, while most Xbox 360 games only support 720p.

Due to the massive change in architecture (POWER vs. x86_64, XENOS vs. SI) Xbox One will not support emulation of legacy Xbox 360 titles.

Xbox 360 - older technology, now the previous generation.

Xbox One - newer technology, now the current generation.

Xbox One adds the following features beyond those of the Xbox 360:

* Blu-ray playback

* Can act as a controller for your cable box (HDMI only)

* Comes with enhanced Kinect 2.0 camera

However, since the XB1 launched just last Christmas there aren't many games for it yet so it doesn't justify its $500 pricetag yet.
