nikon d3200 or sony alpha slt 58?

Question

Mainly for skateboarding photos and skateboarding videos, vlogs ect, it will also be used for landscapes and what a usual DSLR is used for.

They're both excellent cameras, as a matter of fact, any DSLR you buy today will be able to give you the same results! 

I'd stick to Nikon just because I think Sony needs a little bit more time to get on their own level. They're releasing brilliant technology and are the only ones pushing forward, but personally I would wait a bit on them to see where they end up. The D3200 is an excellent, cheap model that many people use!

Good luck! You will learn that lenses matter more than cameras, especially for skateboarding, landscape etc.

You will also find that Sony SLT models blow the others away at video.

Anyway... the A58 is the better camera, the Nikon is just more popular. Not the same thing at all.
