why does it take so long to get over being raped?

It's a terrible thing and OI think people who do such terrible things to women should spend 30 or more years for messing up her life. Unforunately sometimes women these days pretend they were raped when they start to hate a husband or boyfriend. That's terrible because there are women who really have been throough such trauma. Terrible thing for any female to go through.

rape is always traumatic and its not easy to deal with. you need some counselor or therapist and good friends and people around you to help you with it..it will be alright...you seriously need help..the other day I saw your question regarding a picture of your cuts on your arm and I felt that you are going through tremendous pain after seeing those pictures. please help yourself... stop cutting and take action..people suffer a lot in their lives but they have to go on....remember God loves you. Turn to him and I am sure he will help...just write your feelings in a book or draw pictures but try some therapy to take your mind off.

Trauma. My mom was trampled by dogs when she was young. Now, she has a phobia. If the nicest black lab walked up to her, she'd be paralyzed.

You never "get over" being raped. It'll scar you forever.
