Why do people criticize other religion when they know nothing about that religion or even their own?
Whenever you want to pursue the truth and verify anything you hear about the other religion, we urge you to please use the only valid and divine source of their faith.

A religion that cannot stand up to criticism is not worth having.
e.g. I will continually criticise the world's most prevalent religion--
i.e. materialism, because of the incalculable damage it causes

It has a lot to do with a person's pride. Pride can be both a blessing and a curse, and a very thin line delineates these two. So when a person feels much pride about their own religion, they will seek out only sources that fully support their religion and, in turn, read and believe sources that fully deny any opposing religions.
There is plenty of false information out there. I agree with you that we must seek out only the valid and divine sources to learn the truth about any religion.

For the obvious reason that they think they DO know enough about it to criticize.
When you are ignorant, you often don't know it. That's partly what ignorance is all about: not realizing how little you know.
By the same token, it is rather ignorant to claim that only YOU have the "truth". The reality when it comes to religion, is that you don't know, you have no objective, empirical evidence to offer. You can state what you believe, but you cannot claim it to be the absolute truth.

Until ANY religion can provide ANY real evidence for the 'divine' that they base themselves upon...
there is nothing about that religion to verify...
IMHO

One of the reasons I think people have respect for us witnesses is because we go through so much before baptism to KNOW that what we are learning about is the truth and that we know it backwards and forwards. We don't criticize other's religions, we just want others in the truth. If someone asks that we please don't come back, we respect that completely.

It is always fun to mock those who set themselves up to be ridiculed.
Whatever your religious beliefs, they are no more than that - beliefs.
They are not susceptible to reason and are held in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
It is not necessary to have any knowledge of a religion to observe the rituals
and hear the rantings of those who adhere to their mediaeval superstitions.
Look at any religion through the eyes of a free-thinker. You'll see the funny side for yourself.

Because some people think that they are smarter than the others. So they criticise other religion by their own understanding.

I do not care if you want to follow a religion. I do care if you demand that I follow it though. I do care if you demand that I change how I live because of your religion. I do care if you demand that your religion be reflected in law, government, science, or public education. I do care if you feel your religion gives you the right to commit violence, hatred, or discrimination.

The abrahamic religions teach that any unbeliever is evil and deserves death. The Eastern religions are not so intolerant.

There is no such thing as a "valid and divine" source for any religion. So no, we'll use their history and actions to decide how evil they are.
