Sorry, but Daffodil 16 is wrong. To make is the infinitive form of the verb; make is the bare infinitive. To make a gift means to create one. To give a gift means to hand it over to the person.
Remember, too, that you don't say "one of the best gift" but rather "one of the best gifts". You're talking about gifts to give a child, and one of them is a hula hoop, or drums, or a plush toy.
"That was one of the best movies I ever saw." You only saw this one movie, but you are picking it out as the best of all the movies you ever saw.

no- to make is not a verb- make is a verb, but not to make. the correct sentence would read- one of the best gifts to make a child is......
