sweet things to do for failing relationship?

Question

I'm trying to help my best friend and her boyfriend rekindle and respark the fire of their relationship. (im a pure romance consultant.. its my job!) They have been growing distant due to things not going well at home.  they are stuck living in a hotel room for the next month, bills are piling up and not enough money coming in.  These two used to be the PDA lovie dovie type but due to their current slump, their relationship is suffering. So.. being the best friend I am, ive come up with a plan.  Im sending them on a night away.  Im taking their kids for the night and putting them up in a fancy hotel room down town.  However, this being said, I would like for them to be able to do some fun things while they're down there that will help their relationship mend.  Heres what i have so far- taking best friend to fredericks for the necessities, booking hotel via CLC, and a dinner.  What other type of things would you suggest.  Now i am working on a budget so no craziness like helicopter rides and things of that nature.

This whole idea is out of the question - location does not make romance - love and tender affections do.  The same acts of love and affection that brought them together keep them together.  A walk in the rain, sweet notes to the other, honestly telling the partner you admire them love them want them will do more than Fredrick's undies and a fancy hotel that they cannot afford.  Buy them each  copy of the 5 Love Languages and you will do more than you are doing.  They each must meet their partners needs in the way the partner needs and desires.  Right now they are clearly clueless about this and they need education before any actions - The 5 Love Languages will do this

For someone who is supposed to do this as a job, you sure don't have much creativity or ideas.  What makes you think he wants his wife to look like a slut?  Great hotel room and a woman who is dressed like a hooker.  I don't see much romance there.

u have the dumbest idea of your life. they have no roof over their heads, they need to live in a crappy hotel, they have no money to pay bills but obviously like spending money they do not have a lot and u re going to reward it with a fancy night out? your night out ain't gonna fix anything, if u want to help them teach them how to not spend money they do not have and how to get jobs. dear god people are stupid idiots. this is why they re in a deep deep sh''it
