The word French Canadian is usually used to describe people who are the descendants of the French settlers who arrived to found New France and who live in Canada (so mostly people from Quebec, but we can find French Canadian communities a little bit everywhere).

From what I understand from what you have written, your parents have lived in France.

You have French and Canadian origins, so it would be technically correct to call yourself a French Canadian (Just like some people who have Chinese origins might refer to themselves as Chinese Canadians), but I wouldn't recommend you to do it in front of Quebec nationalists because they might be offended because you're not actually from New France and all of that, haha.

Quelle(n): I'm from Quebec, so I know a lot about this Frenchie stuff

Of course you're French Canadian if you acknowledge your roots (otherwise you can just be called Canadian if you want). It just depends on where you identify your French side from. Are you French Canadian because your parents are from Quebec or are you French Canadian because your parents are from France? Either way, you'd still be considered French Canadian.

Since being "French" is not a question of race, you are only French Canadian if your first language was and is French.

    Yes.

Rambo, there are French Canadians. A lot of Quebeckers are descendants of French settlers.

To actually be French-Canadian status in Canada, you have to be BORN in Quebec. If you were born in another province then you are just Canadian.
