why are you/why aren't you against immigration?

I immigrated to the United States from the richest nation on Earth. We don't have starving people nor starving adults. We also don't have homeless people as people in need get help from the government. We have fantastic healthcare and free education all the way to the doctorate level. In fact, students get paid by the government if they choose education over work.

My income in the US is about the same as it would now be in my former home country, meaning I've paid about three quarters of a million dollars in US income taxes alone since immigrating. I've no idea where starving children or the evil part comes in here.

I am not against immigration for a variety of reasons. One of them is that my fiancee is from a foreign country and she would like to immigrate here.

Another is that my maternal grandfather was born in Europe and came here, so I have some immigrant heritage.

Most of the immigrants have better life style after coming to the states but you need to pay taxes.

My family came to North America in the 1600's. Who gets to decide when we shut the door? Anyone who wants to work and pay taxes should have the right to live here.
