Why does disney channel suck so much these days?

perhaps you have grown up??

I loved Sailor Moon still do. And I used to watch everything that everyone has stated here. And you think with all the high tech quality effects and stuff that these channels would have done something worthwhile and not just do shows that are best described as yet *another* waste of animation money. They might aswell just burn and die. -Sigh- we need a brand new channel to step in and bring back all the old cartoons.

Nope, Disney channel does in fact suck now. I even know fathers who block the channel for their kids because it sucks s much. It all happen after the liberal Jews hired his left wing women who run the channel and started trying to push their singers instead of doing the cartoons. Walt Disney is rolling in his grave.

We all grew up! Back in the 80's-mid 90's, the Disney Channel (Walt Disney Vault) ran a lot of old black and white classic tv shows on there that I watched like original The Mickey Mouse Club, The New Mickey Mouse Club (1990's), Kids Incorporated, The Adventures of Spin and Marty, Good Morning Miss Bliss (Saved By The Bell spin-off) Road to Avonlea, (that I later watched in the 90's on the Canadian channel), Adventures in Wonderland, movies like The Parent Trap (sequels - 1989) and they also aired Teen Witch, I think. They aired a lot of mickey mouse cartoons with donald duck, Chip and Dale, etc. When the mid to late 90's came by they ran shows like Bug Juice, So Weird (I watched a lot of that!), Even Stevens, etc. There was less Disney cartoons and more reality tv, and musical tv shows were becoming a trend.

I remember when Nickelodeon aired "Clarissa Explains It All", Double Dare, and "Are You Afraid of the Dark" and I use to watch that on Saturday nights, and they did a lot of Halloween specials on Nick back than too when TGIF was still around! Full House, Step By Step, Home Improvement and Boy Meets World (which later aired on the Disney Channel after ABC aired the last Season) were a few of my favorites!

After making my list and looking back at my childhood memories, I don't think Disney really sucks now, I like that they are using tinkerbell still as a Disney icon, yet I do miss seeing all the old classic cartoons, like mickey, or chip and dale. The channel just changed with the technology we have in today's world with HD graphics and more teenagers than kids are watching the Disney channel more from other channels being created. Thats now part of our technology and it does seem to ruin a little bit of kids viewership compared to ours back than. There's more channels being watched now than before in the past. We barely had that many channels to watch and I remember we just had cable and an antenna to rely on! As for the Disney channel, it seems like they tend to look at the viewership and take polls to determine whats popular and whats not. If they aired classic shows again, a lot of adults like us would love it to take us back, but it might hurt the current generation for ratings, which does suck for us.

I watch current Disney, but not as much as I use to since I don't have that channel anymore, or cable after 6 years. I use to watch Wizards of Waverly Place, Thats So Raven, and Zack and Cody. I actually found that The Suite Life On Deck was better than their original tv show they started out with and sadly only aired for 4 Seasons. I have no idea whats going on with the Disney channel as of right now since I haven't watched it after 2-3 years online! lol I just found out all the shows I use to watch got cancelled, or they just stopped airing them.

Yeah right after The Lizzy Mcguire and That s So Raven, it went downhill right away!
