what would you do about this, i was just told im going to have to travel out of town for some training but i dont have a car, im just making her think i do, cuz i really need this job.....how should i handle this, when i start should i tell her my engine went out on my car and i wont be able to go out of town for the training sessions? or do you have any other ideas? there is no bus to the traning sessions area.... thanks

i already told her ok about attending the traning sessions the week after next...i have no money so renting a car is not an option at the moment

Can you rent a car and then a) send her the bill or b) get mileage reimbursement?

Can you borrow a car?

I doubt that skipping the training is an option that she will accept.

Hi there,
I think the more excuses you make, the more it will look like you're lying about having a car. Personally I would just say "I can't use my car" on the permitted days you're training or say to her that you no longer have a car. You don't have to go into it. Is there any way you could get a lift to the training sessions area with a friend or family member? If not, maybe just tell her the situation and she will probably be happy to help.

Don't dig a hole you can't get out of. Tell the truth or rent a car. If you don't obtain the training you may not qualify for the job.

If you don't have a car whether you say it broke down or not means you do not fill the requirements for the job you were hired for. They will sack you which is well within their rights since you can not do the job. Don't lie.
