Teens: What was the last thing you cooked?

I just made gluten free, dairy free, non-fried, low fat Coconut Shrimp from scratch with Thousand Island sauce (not scratch but still handmade, just made out of mayo, ketchup + diced dill pickles) via my own never tried recipe that I thought of and drew ideas from others.

I think I'm gonna improve it with some spices and maybe a bit more flavor, it didn't taste very "pow!" know what I mean? But I did like the taste of the shrimp with the sauce it was very good!

I'm gonna make a "normal" version for my boyfriend to cheer him up, he's kinda sick with a sore throat and cough, seasonal change sickness stuff, it'll clear up pretty fast I think. But that one will have wheat flour, I think I want to buy bigger, sweetened coconut flakes instead of shreds and I wanna add paprika, cayenne and maybe some onion powder? Maybe 86 the lemon juice and do lime + lime zest with the spices in there. Definitely spice it up haha :)

So, what was the last thing you cooked?

BQ: Is there anything you don't eat in your diet? (gluten, high fat, dairy, soy, meat, eggs, etc basically anything you don't/won't/can't eat?)

BQ2: Do you cook often or do your parents usually make you something, or are you the pre-packaged kind of kid?

BQ3: Do you like sushi?

BQ4: What dishes have you made before?

Update:

My BQ's

BQ: No gluten, no dairy, no fatty foods and no red meat

BQ2: I cook a lot but with the way I eat, sometimes it's easier to eat something pre-packaged or to make my own thing out of something small

BQ3: Hell yes! It's a main staple of my diet actually

BQ4: I've made:

- Handmade from scratch (literally everything but the cheese) Margharita of Naples style pizza

- Sushi (my dad taught me how to roll)

- Pasta

- I can make pizza/pasta sauce from taste

- My own "pizza bread" made from gluten/dairy free bread, sauce and vegan parmesan "cheese"

- Fried egg sandwich

- Scrambled eggs

- Coconut shrimp haha

- Chicken burgers, salmon burgers

- Crab

- Thousand Island sauce

- Coconut Nutella brownies (my parents and boyfriend said they were sweet but not crazy sweet or overly chocolately or to bland)

I'm also thinking of creating my own dairy free/low fat key lime topping to put on gluten free and dairy free graham crackers cus I miss eating t

Update 2:

I do make cookies and I made a German Chocolate cake for my boyfriend's birthday so that was fun :) got the coconut sauce down right for the topping and used baker's chocolate in it

I made soup out of spaghetti noddles and seasonings. I eat it like everyday because its kinda the only thing there is to eat... my mom doesn't really buy food for us.I can at least make it taste pretty good lol.

BQ: I typically won't eat pork. I'll eat bacon, if cooked a certain way, and sometimes deli ham, but other than that I won't. Not for religious reasons or anything, it's just that I do kind of agree with the idea of pigs being unclean animals. I mean if so many different religions say not to eat them, there must be a reason behind it and maybe we just haven't figured it out yet. Plus I hate how it tastes lol.

BQ2: My screams at me whenever I try to cook for myself because I'm "wasting her food." She only lets me cook soup and even then she gets ticked of so I usually just eat whenever she cooks, which isn't all the time.

    BQ3: Yes

BQ4: I haven't really cooked anything besides soup in a long time lol, but when I lived with other relatives I used to make peach cobbler and coffee cake and pies and all kinds of stuff.

That sounds amazing, and healthy!(: I Just had coconut shrimp for dinner two nights ago at Red Lobster..It was just the fattening sort, haha. But yeah it's always fun to try out new recipes and such. (:

The last thing I cooked was a sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin. I made it about thirty minutes ago because I was hungry, lol. I made home made apple sauce with a bit of cinnamon to go with it.

I try to avoid things with lots of sodium and high fat.

I cook about three times a week.

    I've never tried sushi.

All types of dishes. I bake cakes, pies, cookies, and pastries. Homemade donuts and icecream. But only every once in a while will I make a sweet.

I love Italian dishes. Pastas, homemade healthy pizzas, as Well as casseroles and soups, and other meals like steak with green beans ans garlic cheddar mashed potatoes. Yum!

I made some roasted vegetables (carrots, onions, potatoes, garlic, peppers, and zuchinni) with rice last night for dinner.

BQ: No, I eat pretty much everything.

BQ2: Mostly I cook for myself, but there's not really a lot of variety in what I cook because I am a poor college student, so I can't really afford to get too fancy with my ingredients. I follow a ridiculous amount of cooking blogs, but mostly I just read them and pretend like I will ever have the time/money to be able to cook them. Occasionally I eat at my college's dining hall, but I really prefer to cook my own food.

BQ3: I love sushi, but unfortunately I haven't had any in a long time.

BQ4: Ummm, a lot. Way too many to list. I used to work at a restaurant and also used to cook a lot for my family back when I lived at home, so I've made a lot of different things.

    Caramel banana spring rolls.

BQ: Is there anything you don't eat in your diet?

    - I don't have any diet restrictions but I won't eat organs of anything.

BQ2: Do you cook often or do your parents usually make you something, or are you the pre-packaged kind of kid?

    - I'm a college student living on my own so I have to cook for myself. Sometimes I eat pre-packaged things but I like to eat fresh too.

    BQ3: Do you like sushi?

    - Yes.

BQ4: What dishes have you made before?

    - Fried rice, eggplant omelette, pastas, steak, fish, vegetables, etc.
