what do you think about this wage per hr?

my friend has been working at Dominick's for 3 years and after 3 years of working like a hebrew slave doing stock and cashiering along with sweeping and mopping etc.....making pocket change...she thinks  $11_60 an hour as a raise....is alot of money....i told her sweetie you are making pocket change....you should be getting at least $15-$17 dollars....but if you don't put your foot down and realize you are worth more for your 3 years of work..... they gonna keep playing you....she has 2 kids to feed........ i told her i make 20 bucks an hr sitting on my azz doing paper work cuz i put my foot down and let them know i got skills and im worth more than 10 bucks and hr for my experience....,so im getting paid a decent amount per hr......i told her  in todays workforce if you allow yourself to be played they will keep playing you...she didnt say anything at all...but dont i have a point?

11.60 isn't a great pay, but she is doing work that doesn't require any real skills so that is why they can pay her so little. 
She could easily be replaced.

Maybe shs afraid of being fired and her kids will be homeless and hungry. U take a lot more crap when u hav kids thats a game changer.

The bottom line is, you don't get what you want or deserve, you get what you negotiate.
