Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool virus?

A few days ago a window for updating Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool popped up on my computer, I accepted it and shortly afterwords I got smacked with the FBI/moneypak virus. I ran system restore snd got my computer back up and running. Now the removal tool is popping back up. I haven't seen anything about the virus masquerading as the removal tool, but I suspect this is the case - anyone know if this is accurate?

    A normal MRT would look like this:

    BUT, There should not be any Pop-Up telling you about updating it, Unless it's windows update letting you know.

    The MRT only updates once a month when windows gets it's updates.

    Anything else telling you this is more than likely Malware

    Windows MRT is NEVER downloaded by a suggestion of a popup! This means that you had a virus or worm (the one telling you to download MRT) prior to you actually downloading the new virus.

    Windows MRT is only downloaded through Windows Update. As far as I know, Microsoft never suggests updates/downloads through pop up windows.

    It seems to be you have virus on your computer.Install malwarebytes and scan your computer.
