Not sure about Ozzie, Kiwi or Jamaican English, but South African probably calls it what it's called in Britain(sat-nav)

It is only the software and firmware that has the language programmed into them for specific markets. The GPS satellites just send streams of digits out to say where it is in the sky and the GPS receiver (sat nav) de codes them.
