Please people tell me why all of you think Insidious is so scary?

I think people think it's scary mostly because of the jump scares also because it's about that boy and loads more people find kids scarier than adults lol. but seriously i have no idea i didn't find it scary at all it was more like a thriller/drama and paranormal activity was more like a comedy to me i found it so funny.

Also i watched mama and sinister and found them really boring for some reason i'm having loads of trouble finding a horror film that actually scares me.

Insidious was terrible, more of a comedy than a horror movie.

I found the Paranormal Activity movies to be more interesting and a little more on the scary side.

I did not catch Mama or Sinister yet, but Mama did look interesting.

I recently watched The Conjuring, which had a boring and unrealistic story, but did have scary and suspenseful parts.

Im on the same page as you. It was one of the cheesiest "horror" movies ive seen. It came off lame and cartoony, and I have to disagree about sinister. Ive seen ALOT of horror movies also, and I while I didnt think sinister was scary. I did enjoy the movie, and thought the tapes in the movie were freaky.
