Missed driving test as instructor took me to wrong test centre?
Ok so I had my test booked this morning paid 62 quid and 44 to driving instructor for lesson and use of car we got to test centre and when no one called me asked why turns out we were at wrong test centre there are two in the city. I gave the instructor my email with all the test details on and now he is offering me a free lesson as compensation for losing over 100 and a days pay. He says it's not his fault and it clearly is his responsibility as I gave him details should he reimburse me? I've made a complaint but not sure what they will come back with but what should I do I've spoken to him and he's not budging if the company won't take action I'm out of pocket
Thanks for responses to clarify I gave him the booking email when he was booking my test in his diary it had the full address in there I wasn't even aware there was another test centre so I just let him direct me from the lesson
And yes he works for red driving school I just can't see the complaint going further I know what companies are like
Everyone who is saying I am to blame are you not reading the information I do not know the Leeds area at ALL I gave him the email and said this is the details for my driving test how am I supposed to know that he took me to the wrong one when i dont know the area or where the test centre is and he took me the wrong one despite me giving him the email seriously read the question properly before answering I DID NOT KNOW THE AREA

He should give u a full refund it was entirely his fault. Does he work for a company or self employed. If company contact the company and say you want a full refund and if not u will be taking legal action. If self employed tell him you will be contacting the office of trading standards. What an asshole.

I think you're both at fault for missing the crucial information about which test centre you need to go to for your driving test.
Did you practise around the test area and not wonder why you were constantly practising around the wrong one?

From the circumstances you describe I think the instructor has made a fair offer as you were both at fault.

If you have proof that he told you to go to the wrong testing center, you deserve compensation. But if you just assumed wrong or you don't have proof that you were told wrong, you probably don't have much room for complaint.
See how the complaint plays out, then consider talking to the instructor again about what can be done for you.

So you emailed him with all the info so that say to me that you also knew where you were to go, did you forget that. You just want someone else to blame.
