I don't know how to act 21?
My ex always compares to other prettier, funnier girls saying they're what every man wants, and then says that I have no substance nothing attractive about me that i only just have a good heart. I understand that im very skinny and I do try to eat a lot but still don't seem to be able to put weight on. Iv been constantly told that I think and act like a child and everyone else thinks that too. Im nearly 21 and i feel i am still figuring myself out but I dont really know how a 21 year old should act. This has really been getting to me and i generally feel like im going mental.

hes probably saying that about you coz hes slept with you and hasnt yet slept with the other girls and hence he puts yoou down in front of them to build them up ! you dont have to listen to youre ex b friend if all hes talking is trash and boosting hes ego !

Plenty of people your age are still 'figuring themselves out', so don't worry.
It's very common for girls to get self-conscious when an ex points out their faults.
However, they are your 'ex' for a reason; you two were never compatible.
There are plenty of guys that enjoy a girl who is a little bit immature. Just embrace who you are. Remember, you aren't trying to marry the majority of the male population; you want that ONE person you loves you for you.
That being said, take time to get to know yourself. Enjoy being single for a bit

Stop being a bore. Have something interesting to say and take up hobbies other than sitting on the internet. Do some Wikipedia surfing and learn something. Stop talking to your ex -- you're not going to get over them if you don't.

I'm 20 and I do things that might be considered immature at times, but I also pay bills and act like an adult, you're as young as you feel I guess. You're ex is a total dick.

Live who you are. Don't change yourself to meet the standards of others. Only when you learn to love yourself, will someone be able to love you. Remember, be confident. Women love confidence. Just don't confuse confidence, and arrogance.
