A question about Yahoo answers ?

You can't. I see that many times. People do not even know they have blocked their email and there is no way to tell them.

Yeah it is problematic when that happens and their profile doesn't have an email address that is accessible. I sometimes get emails from folks who've chosen my answer as BA and they ask questions there. Then you can answer them back thru the YA conduit.

But if those options aren't utilized the comment block is the only other place and I'd bet it rarely gets accessed after a poster has picked a BA.

Anthony has given you sage advice and is the only correct answer here so far.

You can add a "comment" once the question resolves, but there is a 99.99999% chance the asker will not see it--sad to say. They may return a response to your comment, but if the series of comments becomes conversational, you do run the risk of getting a chat violation.

This isn't a chat room so there is no provision for that, and whilst you can add more detail it is against the rules to use that as a comminiction feature, although many will.

In the comments box at the bottom you can write something there, but from my underestanding few go back to look and Yahoo don't post them

That's happened to me, but it is more for you to think about than respond to.

Once I found a way to respond, but I forget how/where. If you search through the settings of this system, you can find a way.

I would just leave a comment in the next question of theirs you answer, but be brief so you are not chatting.

When the asker of the question chooses me as BA, I always write back in the comments section saying thank you.

You can leave a comment there, but unfortunately, no one is notified about the comment. The asker might not even see the comment. One time, I answered another question of their's and told them "I left a comment on your other question." and hopefully they'll read that.

You can't unless they give you some information to contact you, other than that nothing. Thats what i don't like about Yahoo answers :/

Yahoo sends me their comment/question. In my old email I could reply thru Yahoo to them but I've change it recently and it won't let me reply. Dunno why.
