How can I know if the British Guy likes me?

Our school year just started in the Philippines and a new Transferee came. He is from UK and I am actually from Germany. He is half- half British and Filipino and I am half- half German and Filipino.

So when I noticed that He is also a Foreigner so I thought; why am I'm not going to introduce myself to him. Since that happen our English teacher introduced me to him and both of us just smiled because we met us already. So when I sat beside him we started to talk about many things about his life and my life in the foreign country. So we always laughed and smiled. When we are not sitting together he and I are just smiling to each other hehe, Sometimes I'm going to him to ask him if he understands our lesson if he did so he just answered very friendly. He is actually always alone and he has really no friends and no one is really talking with him but I asked him before If we can become friends and he told me that's fine. I really like his accent and the way how he speaks he seems to be a gentlemen and very funny. So when I sat for today with him for the whole day we had a great time. Actually we know each other, but I think we just still shy to approach each other sometimes. So when I sat beside him we just started to talk again and we smiled always and when I'm not mistaken he got sweaty and a little bit red on his face. Once a teacher asked him who is the nice or most attractive girl for you in the class. He said # 26 and not my name but the teacher didn't believed him and the teacher asked him again and whom ? Than he told my name and I got shock hehe. Is it maybe a sign that he likes me ? Because he told me already funny things. And I think I'm just the only one in the class who is really close with him. But when other girls talked, he doesn't seem to care to much. But I always asked him also before I am going to sit beside him if it would be OK for him and he always told me of course or sure. Than I told him; not that I am going at your nerves or something like that, than he told me no no you don't than he smiled. Also some of my friends always asked him out about me and I just saw him smiling. And when I am sitting on my proper place he looked sometimes around and at me. Actually we are always talking together, smiling and laughing together. Hmmmm , is there a chance that he like me ?

p.s I am 1 year older than him.
