Why don't you consider the Bible evidence?
when it so clearly predicted years ago things that are happening in our time?
for those who've seen no evidence for God, here's a short video for you:
http://youtu.be/VlrQj-SHRM4 (it's a simple youtube video)
PD Poole - because video evidence is never any good right?
Jerry - not really an answer
serious troll - not all prophecy is found in Revelation (you knew that right?)
Rjinswand, PhD - what part about Jews living in the land of Israel again is too hard for you to understand?
oikoσ - see above
Dreamstuff - also see above ... that's pretty clear
Trooth hurts - just click the link dude ... you'll see there's a lot more there than that
Clementine - it's pretty easy to see whether something is true or false. Do the Jews live in Israel again?
Roadie Joe - because it pales in comparison to the accuracy of the Bible
That guy - What part of the Bible is historically inaccurate?
Fake - to serve as evidence that this is really God's word
huffyb - Read Matthew 24

just playing devil's advocate but I mean anyone can write a book. who's to say that it's true or false? that's why there is no definite answer to questions regarding many aspects of religion.

There are several mundane ways in which a prediction of the future can be fulfilled:
Retrodiction. The "prophecy" can be written or modified after the events fulfilling it have already occurred.
Vagueness. The prophecy can be worded in such a way that people can interpret any outcome as a fulfillment. Nostradomus's prophecies are all of this type. Vagueness works particularly well when people are religiously motivated to believe the prophecies.
Inevitability. The prophecy can predict something that is almost sure to happen, such as the collapse of a city. Since nothing lasts forever, the city is sure to fall someday. If it has not, it can be said that according to prophecy, it will.
Denial. One can claim that the fulfilling events occurred even if they have not. Or, more commonly, one can forget that the prophecy was ever made.
Self-fulfillment. A person can act deliberately to satisfy a known prophecy.
There are no prophecies in the Bible that cannot easily fit into one or more of those categories.
In biblical times, prophecies were not simply predictions. They were warnings of what could or would happen if things did not change. They were meant to influence people's behavior. If the people heeded the prophecy, the events would not come to pass; Jonah 3 gives an example. A fulfilled prophecy was a failed prophecy, because it meant people did not heed the warning.
The Bible also contains failed prophecies, in the sense that things God said would happen did not (Skeptic's Annotated Bible n.d.). For example:
Joshua said that God would, without fail, drive out the Jebusites and Canaanites, among others (Josh. 3:9-10). But those tribes were not driven out (Josh. 15:63, 17:12-13).
Ezekiel said Egypt would be made an uninhabited wasteland for forty years (29:10-14), and Nebuchadrezzar would plunder it (29:19-20). Neither happened.

A lot of those who responded seem to forget the test of a true prophet: if what he predicted "came to pass", then all of his messages were clearly from God. If any prophet made even one false or unfulfilled prophecy, that was proof that he was NOT one of God's prophets. I don't have my Bible with me right now, but the test of a prophet was given back in either Numbers or Deuteronomy.
One classic example of a false prophet is in Jeremiah chapter 28. Jeremiah was preaching God's message when another prophet, named Hananiah, began to preach the opposite of Jeremiah's message. That night God told Jeremiah that Hananiah's prophecy was not true. Jeremiah was told to give Hananiah the message, "This year thou shalt die (Jeremiah 28:16, King James Version)".
I personally don't watch many YouTube videos but if that one even attempts to give a vote of support to the Bible, it must be good. I believe the Bible and ALL the prophecies that one day will be fulfilled completely, just as God Himself intended.
One other thing I need to add. May we never forget the prophecies which came from God Himself. If He said something is going to happen, it WILL happen, but only when He authorizes it. In the New Testament, many prophecies (e.g., in the "Olivet Discourse" in Matthew 24 and 25) were spoken by Jesus Himself. Since He has never lied about anything, ever, why would He do that--ever??

All it predicted that is happening is Wars and Earth quakes.
I have some startling news for you pal.... WARS have been happening since humans have existed...
EARTH QUAKES have happened since the earth was a planet.
and EVERY super natural prediction in there has NEVER happened.
That's not amazing, that's a couple of verses made to simpletons will think its divinely inspired.
If I predicted you were going to drink something within this 24 hr. period am I divinely inspired?

Clearly? The biblical predictions are just as fuzzy as those of Nostradamus. Try using the Bible to make a prediction BEFORE the fact and you might convince someone.

You're absolutely right. Except for the part about the bible "clearly" predicting things :P
But yeah, that certainly is a simple youtube video....for simple people :)

why does the bible need such predictions if it's a holy book - the words of god? does it mean god predicted and does what he predicted? if that is the case, it means god has no other means to prove his own existence to humanity. then he cannot do anything he wants - not omnipotent. if he could do anything, he doesn't even have to provide a book actually.

Why don't you consider "The Shape of Things to Come" a religious book? It correctly predicted a world war, among other things.

Only the most pathetic of witnesses will come forward and actually present a youTube video as "evidence"...Your sort never can answer the failures found in the Bible....but hey...we expect nothing less from you.
