Will Charlotte, NC be safe in the severe east coast storms?
I have really bad anxiety about this type of stuff and I'm just wondering, will Charlotte NC be ok and safe during the severe storms that are going over the East Coast? I keep hearing about all these tornadoes, floods, towns being destroyed...it makes me really scared. They're giving us severe thunderstorm warnings but I want to know what is expected for my city. Thank you.
I know I'm probably not in the direct path down here, but on the news, they are like, "This is going to be one scary storm!" and it's really frightening.

The Storm Prediction center says that there is a low chance for Tornadoes, but a high chance for severe wind, moderate for 74 mph + winds, and moderate for 2" hail. Stay tuned to NOAA weather radio or watch your local weather channel.
