Did your wife ever forget about the wedding anniversary?

Question

Tomorrow is our 8th wedding anniversary. I have already made plans, I have already bought the gifts from 3 different shops and they will be ready to be picked and wrapped tomorrow morning, I had them stored with them to make it a surprise. The flower shop promised to have fresh beautiful rose bouquets by tomorrow morning as well.

I have made a reservation at a fancy beach-side Italian restaurant.

And my wife seems to totally forgot that our anniversary is tomorrow. I have never talked about my plans and never mentioned it. I wanted to make a surprise for her. 

Well how did I know that she forgot about it?

Today while we were returning from visiting my old man she told me that she want to spend the whole day with her brother, I was like: What? No!, go to him on Sunday, not tomorrow?. She asked why, I said just make it another day. I have other plans for tomorrow.

I never forget our anniversary, she did forget about it once I think our third or fourth, but I never forget one. I do make plans for it way ahead of time, and always want to make it a special day. 

But this time, the fact that she seems to have forgotten about our anniversary is really ringing some bells in my head.

Does that normally happen? How do you deal with it when it happens.

I have to keep reminding myself when my husband's B-day is. There is confusion about which day is which because it's at a time with a lot of family b-days. 

Our anniversary is Dec 26th so I don't forget that one. 

If she forgets... ask yourself if it's really that big of a deal. I'm sure she will be very sorry that she forgot. However I think your over all relationship is what is important, not a day. 

Today you can maybe drop the hint that you are so excited for tomorrow. She may get it lol

Today is our 35th anniversary and I forgot.  My husband left cards by the coffee pot this morning so there's no way to think of something quickly to reciprocate without him knowing that I forgot.  I feel awful!  The last 2 months have been a whirlwind.  His father passed 3 weeks ago (which I took care of at home), then my mother came to visit us, got sick with pneumonia and is currently in the hospital here.  No excuse though, it was his father who passed and he still remembered.  On a side note, Our marriage is strong and happy.  I still feel just awful.

I don't think she's forgotten about it.  If she has, she must be batty, because no woman in her right mind would forget about getting married to a sweetheart like you.  Happy Anniversary!
