How many refugees from Syria does Russia accommodate?

They cant exactly walk next door to Russia. The border countries with Syria have taken in thousands and the conflict even is spilling over into Turkey because Turkey is in NATO which is a military organization used by the U.S. Russia wants to be neutral and are trying to broker a truce with the rebels and Assad. Russia did send helicopters that they were contracted for before the uprising began but why shouldnt Russia send weapons to an ally, a legitimate government that is trying to prevent being overthrown, a government which has as much support as the insurgents.

I can't imagine it accommodates any refugees from Syria, especially those that could be perceived as anti-Assad. That being said, what does it matter?
