A question about Star Trek Into Darkness for Old Fans... (SPOILERS)?

Did you figure out that John Harrison was Khan before they revealed it?

I figured it out a couple of minutes before he said he was Khan - but thinking about it afterwards I realised that there were lots of clues to it way earlier in the film - so presumably some more tuned in Trekkers would have figured it out long before me.

How long before it happened did you figure it out?

I suspected he was an augment when he took out all those Klingons. When they discovered what was in the torpedos, along with there being 72 of them, I knew for sure Khan was involved. Until he actually said he was Khan, I was still holding out hope that he was just one of Khan's lieutenants. The reason being that Khan is supposed to be Indian, while Cumberbatch couldn't be more white unless he was an albino!

Great movie, but being Indian myself, that part particularly irked me.

I just went to see the movie because my family went for my moms birthday. I'm not a fan and I stared blankly through the 3D glasses for most of the movie. I didn't know anything about the movie and I don't have a TV so I never saw any commercials for it. HOWEVER. Movies like to give you little subliminal hints to these types of plot twist, and being the subliminal genius that I am, I did catch on that Khan would somehow be thrown into the plot. Shortly before Khan revealed his identity. Cpt. Kirk relinquished control to one of his crew, he told him "you have the Com." But when he said it, it sounded like he said, you have the Khan. I'm not a Star Trek fan, and the wrath of Khan isn't something that has crossed my mind in 20 years of so, but they said that, I knew something to that extent was coming, and it was just a scene or 2 later when he revealed his identity.

As it was hinted at as much as they tried to keep it secret, but the second Kirk TRYS to beat the crap out of Harris and fails you know something was up. (the foreign reviews spoiled it by the way.) The question was was it going to be Khan or someone like him. By the way it is "you have the Conn" Conn was an officer or sailor who provided the Captain's instructions to the helmsman as to how to steer, the idea being that the Captain "has" the "conn"--that is, the Captain consults with the conn, who is an expert with expertise and education in the reading and interpretation of nautical charts and also as to vessel motion and movements, while the helmsman is a lesser functionary who actually steers as he is told to do. The conn, in turn, instructs the helmsman, after consultation with the Captain.

    Yes

It was obvious he was a "genetically engineered superhuman" before they revealed his name. Once you realized that, of course he was Khan.

Then of course the minute they say radiation, you knew that there would be the fake death as well, as they telegraphed that with Bones' experiment with "necrotic tissue." I doubt any old fan was fooled for a minute by Kirk's death.

I don't like this plot twist at all. No standards these days :(
