Is there a ghost in my apartment or are we paranoid?

The use of an Ouija board can often just be a random diversion in which nothing happens. But sometimes it can open up the door to the demonic. This is since you are actually calling upon a spirit to converse with you. The spirit can claim to be an angel, a deceased relative or the like, but do not be fooled. What the Ouija board connects you with (if anything) will be a demon.

Even non-Christian websites warn against Ouija board use just due to the many bad experiences people have had. One says, “On balance, the use of a Ouija board should be strongly discouraged. Those who do attract lower level beings ultimately stand a very high chance indeed of suffering possession and/or serious mental illness, both of which would be nearly impossible to overcome by modern medical means. The only solution to such a serious situation involving inter-dimensional forces would be an exorcism carried out by a highly experienced practitioner of which there are very few living today.”

One person on Yahoo Answers wrote, “After I played that Ouija ,I never wanted to do it again...I remember asking it when I was going to die and it said "56"...and I asked it how I was going to die and it said "sick".. Of course I wasn't moving the thing, and my friend said she wasn't moving it....It scared me shitless to be honest.. I just hope what it said isn't true…

Another said, “My sister received one for her birthday and used it regularly. We then noticed a pattern that every time she or I used it we wear hurt pretty bad, not broken bones, but serious cuts. After finally deciding to get rid of it, and throwing it in the trash I told it to ‘burn in hell’ later that day I had to go to the emergency room with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd degree burns to my face from a gasoline accident.”

And another on Yahoo Answers wrote, “Once my aunt and grandpa were playing with one and it said they would die on a bridge close to my aunt's house. Another time when my youngest uncle was in fifth grade the teacher brought an Ouija board out. He played with it and when he got home his mom told him to ask it if it believes in Jesus Christ as the Savior. He did and the spinny thing flew off the table and they never saw it again.”

Someone else shared, “A good friend of mine was tormented by a spirit her brother had let loose with this. It even followed her to college. Do not use it. The stronger spirits will come through and they are usually the bad ones.”

You can do your own search on Yahoo Answers for “Ouija beard experiences” and the like and you will see the stories are never good.

The only real way to be freed from oppression from the Ouija board is through Jesus Christ. Only in him and through him is there victory over demonic spirits. Those that have experienced the forces of darkness and see that the spiritual realm is very real need to now turn to the good to obtain freedom. Have a look at the links below and see what you think. I suggest you find a better diversion and you can get prayer if you end up sensing you need that to gain freedom from any presence.

I would suggest that there is some sort of paranormal activity. See the answer I have given

to the man who said he felt a hand on his back. Do you have a young teenager in the house?

Possibly a girl? These happenings can often be found in a house where there is a young

adolescent who attracts an "energy" who seems to be lying on the bed but is invisible.

See what happens if that young person leaves the house for a couple of days to stay elsewhere.

If the "happenings" persist seek help from a Catholic priest to have the spirit removed by

an exorcism. Not all priests can do it. They have to be in a pur e state of mind otherwise the

spriti can transfer to them. I do not think you are being paranoid. Just unfortunate. I knew a

woman who was living in Zimbabwe who played with automatic writing and attracted spirits to

her house. She appealed to a Roman Catholic church and a couple of Redemptorist fathers

came and conducted an exorcism which involved prayers and spraying of Holy Water.

She maintained that the ceremony was not entirely successful.

Your brother's experience sound very typical of sleep paralysis or simply hypnogogic imagery. There is a normal stage of sleep that occurs just as you're dropping off to sleep, and a similar stage when you're waking. What most people don't understand about this stage of sleep is that you FEEL as if you are 100% awake. If you've ever been zoned-out while driving or riding in a car at night -- you were drifting in the same state. This can make it pretty scary when dream-like hallucination occurs in this state (as is does with most people at some point). Because you feel as if you're awake, you feel as if the experience was real.

Some people experience something even scarier, called sleep paralysis. When you sleep and dream, the major muscles of your body are paralyzed. This is why you don't move around and act out whatever you're dreaming. Some people have glitches in this safeguard. When it fails and the muscles aren't paralyzed, the sleeper may walk in his sleep, or act out his dreams -- in some cases even attacking his sleeping spouse. More commonly, a person will transition from REM sleep into the hypnogogic state where he feels awake, but the paralysis will hang on a bit longer. making the person feel as if they are being pinned down or dragged, often accompanied by dream images of monsters or the feeling that some evil thing is in the room. No one has ever been hurt by it though, and the paralysis and the hallucinations fade quickly as the person wakes up fully.

As for the shadow -- probably nothing more than a normal shadow. I think your brother's hypnogogic experiences have you spooked for no reason.

First, NEVER AGAIN USE A OUIJA BOARD! Those things can really cause something evil to cross, I know first hand! But beyond that, between what your brother felt, what you felt, and what your dad saw, there is definitely something going on. But unlike many entities in homes that don't cause any problems whatsoever, if this tried to grab and drag him, it's not exactly being peaceful. Google how to bless a home, there are many ways to do this. Don't wait until after it harms someone. But three people in one house seeing or feeling something? That's a legit situation.

A demon or demons.

Do you have inadvertently anything related to the occult or spiritism at home? If so, it´s important that you get rid of those. That includes books, magazines, movies, posters, and music recordings that encourage the practice of spiritism and make it seem appealing and exciting. Included, too, are amulets or other items worn for protection against evil.—1 Corinthians 10:21.

Try also to study the Scriptures daily. “With every form of prayer and supplication . . . carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit.” (Ephesians 6:18) Since we live in a world full of demonism, earnestly praying to Jehovah for his protection is essential in resisting wicked spirits. Of course, we need to use Jehovah’s name in our prayers. (Proverbs 18:10) Hence, we should keep on praying to God to “deliver us from the wicked one,” Satan the Devil. (Matthew 6:13) Jehovah will answer such earnest prayers.—Psalm 145:19.

I am not sure but NEVER use the Ouija board it has weird properties that are worse then whats happening to you now. I would say try to be open minded and if you see some soild evidence search it online and be careful.

Firstly, where did the idea of the abnormal originate? Through man-made fear. Psychologically, fear is essential for a being to survive, as it creates a sense of natural caution for anything potentially dangerous. With this in mind, fear can be built upon a cultural suspicion as well, and in your case, this would be the idea of the supernatural. Think about it; would you react in the same manner if the fairytale of magic, spirits and ghosts would've never been told to you?

It sounds like you could possible have some spirit in your house. I did a few months back. I don't care what anyone said, I knew it was there. It was creepy and it was keeping me horrible ill. Idk what religion you are, if you have one at all, but I prayed and prayed telling it Jesus Christ was protecting me and it could hurt me no longer. Eventually it left and I now am healing. I have first hand experience with these big bully's! Use the name of Jehovah on them, they will stop! so pray before they do it again, tell Jehovah your God, He is your best friend, he knows all about you and the demons do not pick on people who like them, they pick on those that they can tell belong to God. Jehovah is the only one who will deliver you, if you really want Him too, and since they are real, then you won't have any problem believing that Jehovah is real, pray out loud before they attack you.
