Cordless Home Phones?

I am looking to buy a new home phone for my 92 year old grandmother. The phone she has is hard to hear and sounds almost muffled... I am sure it is about 20 years old. I don't have a lot of money to spend on this but it would really make talking to her much easier. I am really looking at spending around $50 or so.

The requirements are:

One base line and another handset to keep handy by her bed

Clarity on her end

A built in answering machine. I really doubt she will do the digital VM where she has to enter a password

Good deal for the money

What would you suggest- brand- style etc..., and where to buy it.

Update:

Oh in the must haves I forgot to include:

Large-ish buttons

Simlple and basic to use

Update 2:

I am in the US, and I can't change that in YA.

I looked at the clarity phones but they are no where near 50 dollars.

In our half of the hemisphere, we have Clarity phones for the hard of hearing and with big buttons, but your $50 USD needs to be $75 and I don't know how that translated to Oz dollars.

Check out the phones offered by Wal-Mart, Best Buys, Target, etc.

Make sure the buttons are large & easy to see & amplified so she can hear it.

Check out offerings from the phone company for hearing impaired.

    Good Luck!
