Samsung Galaxy III refuses to update firmware, what can I do?
I have a second hand Galaxy III that used to be on 3. Since getting it, it has been asking to update the firmware which I have been trying to do several times since I got it the last week of December last year. It downloads the update find (both on the phone and when I try to do it through Kies). But when it actually install the download, it gets to 32% and then the little droid dies and it tells me it has been unsuccessful and reverts back to the original firmware.
I am currently running OS 4.0.4 on Samsung Galaxy III(GT-I9300).
Would really appreciate it it anyone has any ideas!

Maybe the update file didn't download properly? I would advise you to download the update again using a strong wi-fi connection if possible.
If this still doesn't resolve the problem, you should try backing the phone up and factory resetting it.
If this still fails, contact Google.
