pokemon: ash's pikachu?

Well I think I have a couple of reason why Ash's Pikachu sucks:

1. Pikachu's stats are not the greatest

Yeah I know Pikachu's cute, I know it's fast, and I know it's probably one of the most loved Pokemon in the game/anime/manga. But let's face it--just because they're cute doesn't mean they're gonna be strong. There are better electric type Pokemon out there too. Eelektross, Luxray, Jolteon, etc.

2. Ash didn't evolve Pikachu!

This is probably one of my biggest complaints. You want to know why he didn't evolve Pikachu? Well, it all started when Ash was about to challenge the third gym leader, Lt. Surge. Surge's Raichu was far too strong for Pikachu to handle. So, at the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy proposes to evolve his Pikachu, and gives him a Thunder Stone. Of course, like any smart trainer, Ash tries to give Pikachu the stone, but it doesn't want to evolve. Due to some kind of bullshit, Meowth tells us that Pikachu doesn't want to evolve because it thinks it will ruin his and Ash's friendship. This is ridiculous! Why? Because even though Ash's Chikorita evolved, Ash and his Chikorita still form a strong bond together! So, tell me, how will Pikachu and Ash still not be friends?

Sorry this was kind of long, and sort of a rant, it just enrages me!

Pokemon Ash And Pikachu

If Pikachu and Ash won EVERY fight they had the show wouldn't have the same dramatic aspect that it has now. This dramatic aspect is what brings in little kids, teens and some adults. If the dramatic aspect were taken out the show would be a complete comedy and would soon become boring. Cliff Hangers are what keeps us watching/playing. That's why one does not simply watch one episode of The Walking Dead XD
