Were Supermarkets (and frozen food stores) selling off Findus ready meals at ridiculous prices ...?
in your area ..(75p in some cases) .a week prior to the horse meat disclosure.
Shaun.....This was prior to the disclosure that their ready meals contained horse meat..locally they were being sold at very low prices (special offers..) at that time...which gives the impression either Findus and/or these stores had an inkling that something was about to break.
David.....Iceland were selling off Findus ready meals at 75p ..just normal trading or someone trying to limit their losses knowing what was about to happen ?

I was going to ask a question about this last night. I didn’t notice anything being sold off at reduced prices but in my local Lidl, burgers, ready made dinners, and the best ready made curries that you’re ever going to have all went ‘Discontinued’ at the beginning of December. There were a few left and they were still on sale but I was told that it was to “make space for the Christmas range” which never materialised before Christmas and still hasn’t. The Italian and Oriental mixed vegetables have also been discontinued, so maybe there’s nothing to my conspiracy … unless they discontinued them too to create a smokescreen of plausibility.
The plot thickens.

Being single I dont shop a huge amount, but have never seen anything sold at specially low prices?
Many supermarkets sell frozen foods for a pound. Perhaps thats why they use so much Garlic.Curry, etc there days,to disguise the taste of horse ?

Plenty people knew about it , the irish food agency was tipped off so they investigated
our whiter than white government cut funding to the environmental food agency and prevented foods being tested in England
we really are all in this together aren't we , i can bet not one member of Parliament has ever eaten horse without their full consent and it is certainly not dished up in the house of commons state funded canteen who ironically enough have not suffered from any budget cut

confident, it fairly is risk-free, and no, you do no longer could 'discard after 72 hours'. because of the fact that they're meant to be microwaved from frozen, nevertheless, the time would be decrease than the equipment instructions state. you may save them interior the refrigerator for no less than a week, probable longer.

No. It's illegal and would violate trading standards laws as its selling something misleading. All stores should have marked them up as product withdrawn and wasted them (thrown them out)
