My WWE13 PS3 online axxess code not working?

So I got my game today for PS3, and it says something like this "Invalid or outdated code, check to make sure everything is correct"

where is the game from.
if you have a game from Europe and try to use the online code in a American  psn account it wont work and it the same the other way to. but you can make a psn account for the region the game is from and enter it there.

also if you bought the game from gamestop always make sure they have a sealed copy because some people go to the open game boxes on the shelfs and copy the code and use it themselves.
