Pure Gear dual usb wall charger ?

Works fine charging 1 device, the light on the charger is lit steady.

When charging 2 devices, the light on the charger blinks, and the charging power also goes on and off, then on, then off again.

What does it mean when the light on the charger is blinking?

Is this a safety trickle mode? Is this ok for the device being charged (Kindle Fire)?

I could not find any details online about this blinking feature.

Thanks Pure Gear, I am surprised that I got the response from you here in yahoo answers. I sent an email directly to your company site (puregear.com) and did not get answer just yet.

I will probably just get another chager specific for the Kindle Fire and use this one for smaller devices.

    Hello! The Dual Charger led should be steady lit during charging.This is a 2 amp charger, with 1 amp per USB port. The newer Amazon Kindle requires more power to charge, like 1.8 amps. So, if you had a Kindle and another device plugged in, it may not charge correctly and this may cause the blinking. If you are worried about it you can file a claim with us to get a new charger. Thanks!
