There should be a knob or button on the center stack, near the radio and climate controls that should say something to the nature of 4x4 auto, 4x4 high, neutral, 4x4 low. I've provided a link to the pdf owner's manual. On page 267, it give directions and an explanation of each mode of the 4x4 system, as well as safety. Hope this helps!
