Writing something and I'm trying to describe a New York building?
How to describe a tall corporate boardroom building? I can't totally picture it so I'm having a tough time describing it in words other than: "tall corporate boardroom building". All help will be greatly appreciated =)

That's probably because there is no such building. There are skyscrapers and there are plenty of rooms in most of them where corporations have boardrooms, but the board meeting isn't an every day thing. Most of the time, it's business as usual. And even in those corporate buildings, there are usually shops on the ground floor. All those people going to their jobs every day need some place to buy their coffee, lunch, and/or a newspaper.
I'm not from New York. I live in Philly. I've never worked, so never worked in one of those skyscrapers, but I just went to the Comcast building with my family. Their lobby is cool. It's wide open and a whole wall is devoted to what digital video gives us, including an amazing Christmas video that runs every hour for 20 minutes. I assume the big bosses meet in that building too, but most of the time it's just a bunch of workers going in and coming out, with visitors coming for different reasons.
Why not pick a skyscraper in New York, do some research to learn about it, and suddenly it stops being "a tall corporate boardroom building" and becomes what it really is--a place where a whole lot of workers go to do their every day jobs, from cleaning the building and checking visitors at the front desk, to people living in cubicles and offices, to a board meeting once a month?

Depends on how old the building is. If it's a more Modernist building, and you're depicting it in a more positive light, you could say "the tall, sleek office tower", or in a negative light, "the hulking, glass-covered black box". If it's an older building, you could say something along the lines of "the beautiful, stone covered old skyscraper" or "the outdated and decadent old behemoth". Hope I helped!
