Has anyone else noticed an increase of students wanting us to do their homework on yahoo?

You can tell immediately they simply try to put the EXACT question from their teacher in the question.

I don't mind helping out, but most of the time you could just as easily find the answer by a web search.

Seems to me they are getting pretty lazy, and also you see they have never learned to use spell check.

Actually, I've not noticed an increase, I've noticed that it's been ongoing for quite some time.

I kind of chuckled to myself a few times about it as I wouldn't necessarily trust the answers I get here to determine my grades.

I ask thought provoking questions here from time to time and do reference past history on occasion to make my point and have been accused of being a student from time to time. I'm certainly not a student, but have a quest for knowledge.

I hate when people are asking questions here and treat it as if they are texting. With u r to represent you are, and things like that. They don't bother with punctuation and a spell check pops up right on the right side when you are typing here and they still can't be bothered to fix what is wrong.

Doesn't that sadly speak of today's educational system? It is deplorable. People wonder why things in our country are going downhill and we can't even teach spelling and punctuation. I heard a few weeks back that some schools are not going to teach cursive writing anymore. I'm scared when I hear things like that.

Yes, and the latest trend is "I'm doing a report" rather than just the simple A-D multiple choice. They're getting wise to our snubs. :)

I see this sort of thing a lot now: I have to write a report on Abraham Lincoln and I'm having trouble getting started. I need to write specifically about...

I would submit this as an answer:

I can help you with that: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Abraham+Lincoln

Your first responder suggests and increase in racists. I see that as well, particularly in the middle of the night.

@Cat in the Tin Foil HAt:

I do. BTW, can you help me with my nondeterministic polynomial? I need an exact answer to this: Visit the contiguious 48 States' capitols using the shortest possible path.

    Yeah! Lazy Punks!

By the way do you happen to know the difference between Numerical Data and Nominal Data?

Yea, I couldn't use the computer to do my homework as a kid, well ask people online. I don't answer those questions anyway. They should do the homework themselves.
