Now that Republicans have made a counter offer let the negation's begin?

What was announced was a broad brush stroke that they sent in 2011. They also don't accept that Obama won with 53% of the vote and the dems picked up several seats in the senate. I would bet that some of the spending cuts includes Planned Parenthood and PBS (good bye, Big Bird).

In reality, Democrats have nothing serious. What do they mean by cutting government spending? They mean cutting medicare and shifting it to Obama-care, which the whole plan is basically taxing the people. They mean cutting military spending at the same time campaigning that they are great on foreign policy. They want to increase government spending in education, infrastructure, welfare, etc as well. Defending Increasing Welfare benefits by saying that every dollar into welfare contributes to more than a dollar to economic growth.

Paul Ryan has an actual plan for medicare.

But Obama's cut to Medicare was NOT a Spending cut. He moved the money over to Obama-care to pay for more Medicaid.

In other words, take it away from people who paid for it, and give it to people who did not.
