Can a solicitor say this?
I am involved in a court claim. I have just received an email from the other partys solicitor in which she expresses a personal opinion about me. I find this offensive - it is not an opinion about the case or about a point of law - I am described as reprehensible.
Is she allowed to say that? If not, who do I complain to?
To clarify, this is not my solicitor, it is the defendants.
They are upset because I will not provide a copy of a letter that the court has sent - they've had one but lost their copy and the court want to charge them to send it again.
The solicitor is providing the other party with 'advice' but not representing them - I think it's legal aid.

It's erring on the strong side, but not over the line, imo.

If your solicitor says you are reprehensible, then you need a new solicitor. If a solicitor finds the *other* party reprehensible, that's a good sign for their client - means they will be even more keen to win.
A solicitor is not supposed to be impartial, he's supposed to be on his own clients side.

It is a legitimate term meaning culpable or in other words capable of being blamed. It would help if you were to give the context.
Opposing council should not be directly e-mailing you. They should only be communicating with your solicitor during court hearings if the case is at court.

Yes, she is allowed to form an opinion about you.
The other party's solicitor is not supposed to be neutral or impartial.
