but their style has helped them win 12 League Titles, 5 FA Cups, 4 league cups, 10 community shields, 1 Uefa Cup-Winners Cup, 2 Uefa Champions League's, 1 Uefa Super cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup and 1 World Club Cup - since Alex Ferguson arrived as manager at Old Trafford stretching back to 1990.

what im saying is - during that insane spell of dominance, and that staggering trophy count - they won things by beating their rivals in all competitions with free flowing attacking football.

They're still the most dangerous side in the league to play against because as you saw a week ago - going 2-0 up against them is NOT a guarantee you have beaten them , and because their reputation of success tells us - other clubs still harbour a psycholigical fear of throwing it away against them.

They use this to their advantage - fergie does anyway.

having said that in RECENT seasons (last 2 or 3) they haven't played the most exhilarating football to watch neither have they been as dangerous or as imposing as they were 5 or so seasons back, thats because the league has beome TOUGHER to play in end of story.

he still finds a way to field a team out ther that can get the job done way or the other - even if that means winning ugly and grinding out the draws and wins.
