It cost me $200 to move a 1000 sq ft house 8 years ago, and another $200 to move my own house of 1500 sq ft 6 years later. I had 2 guys and had every thing well packed.

I think it would be advisable to use professionals for your move as they are fully insured against any breakages that might occur during the move. Also, they would be experienced and would know how best to pack up and load up your possessions.
Students might be willing to help, for beer money, but they are not insured and might not take the care needed for a safe, uneventful move.
You could ask at least three removal companies for a quote and ask around for recommendations, before making your choice.
