Why shouldn't we limit who can vote?
Other Constitutional 'rights' have limits and exceptions.
What limits would you advocate?
If none, explain why not?
instead of spewing typical hate, please explain how some Constitutional rights can be limited and others cannot?

voting should be over 21 and not in receipt of any state or government entitlement

We already limit who can vote. You have to be 18 years old on or before election day to vote in that election. There are residency requirements that differ by state.
I think that these aren't the limits you meant. Then the question comes down to who does the limiting and who gets to decide what's limited?

Why not? Because who gets to decide how to limit? We did limit the age but that is just about all. I don't think people who can't read should vote but again that was tried but failed as the people administering the reading tests were racist and biased and automatically failed or made the test more difficult to access for blacks and non whites and secretly passed whites without them actually taking the test.
The people who regulate these things are often corrupt and will use almost anything to prevent certain races, genders, or those of a certain economic status from voting to meet their own egotistical needs. We are not able to trust those in leadership to be fair with the restrictions and make the restrictions equitable for all people.
I would love to see legislation passed where only people who can read can vote but it will never happen and by rights shouldn't happen just because of our corrupt system.
To Harley,
If you drive on a publicly funded road, go to a publicly funded library or go to a publicly funded park, you are using government entitlement. That would mean no one could vote. You forget how much the government does for YOU personally with out you even applying for help. That would also mean all those receive government aide after a disaster. You're nuts if you don't think every American is not in receipt of government aide.
My brother is a firm Republican who thinks like you do but he lives off the government himself in a government funded retirement home that pays for all his medical expenses, recreational expenses, travel expenses plus room and board. He doesn't think he's on the dole because he spent only 4 years in the military when he was 17 until he was 21. He's spent over 15 years in that place in exchange for 4 years of service. I think that's in receipt of government funds...I'd like it if we could prevent him from voting but he insists he's paid his own way his whole life. I'm sure you think you've paid your own way too but the government has helped you a lot even if it's through low interest government funded student loans. You shouldn't get so high and mighty or you might find yourself unable to vote.

A free country allows all of their citizens to vote anything less is suppression.
I have an uncle that gave his life in WWII in Germany believing he was preserving the right to vote in America.
When I hear of voter suppression I feel that I have been assaulted in my uncles honor the same as if you spit on his grave. errrrrrrr

That is where tyranny starts. You think it's a great idea to exclude certain people, ok great. It may even work out ok for a decade or two but then the list keeps growing and new groups keep getting added to it. Then all of a sudden one day you find yourself listed ... Get it ?

I'd say attach an electrode to the subject's head and if there is any negative galvanic flow when they see a picture of Obama, arrest them and sentence them to life in prison.
