Why are there no new Simpsons episodes?

Yes FOX is airing playoff baseball games, and many games have been played on Sundays which has to be Sunday nights since FOX also carriers football in the afternoons, each market will have 1-2 games depending on each market each week. You can always watch repeats of older shows, but FOX has been one of the major stations along with TBS to carry playoff baseball. The World Series starts on Wednesday and if needed it could end November 1st if the World Series takes 7 games to compete and the team that wins 4 out of 7. If you have any Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad on dvd watch them, but it just can't work out that these shows can still have its time slots during this time, with games being scheduled, and some of them might land on a Sunday.
