I have the 2nd generation. And it's current iOS is 4.2.1. I need 5 at least to get the Spotify app I desire. I did a search on Apple's website and it seems like all they want to advertise is their new iOS 6 coming out soon. Any help?
Nevermind, my good people of the world. I found out that the Gen. 2 iTouch unfortunately got the shaft when it comes to being able to download the update. Sucks to be me today! : D

You can't update your old ipod to iOS 6. You need to have at least iPod touch 4g for iOS 6 and iPod touch 3g for iOS 5
