Is there a 3rd party internet connection manager software to connect to wifi?

Is there 3rd party internet connection manager software or some other way to connect to the internet either by lan or wifi. My current Windows connection manger currently can not find any wireless networks but there are like 13 around me and all of my linux and ubuntu computers connect and work just fine so there a flaw in windows some where?

Run the Network Setup Wizard in this unknown version of Windows. Have you tried Windows System Restore?
